The year 2006 was a great year for us because we experienced once again the faithfulness of our great God. We still remember the uncertainty that we felt right after Melissa graduated from College. Alan wanted to go to seminary but didn't know where or how. Meli wanted a job but didn't know where to apply and how she would be able to help Alan trough school with just one job. However, in spite of our uncertainty we prayed to our Jehovah Jirah (God our provided) and he answered our prayer.

Graduation
Melissa Graduated from College in May with a Bachelor of Science in Bible Exposition and Theology. She enjoyed learning from her professors about the importance of Bible study and of the spiritual disciplines. However, she is glad to be done with her studies and able take care of things around the house and enjoy some of her hobbies like quilting.

Scholarship
Alan received a scholarship to attend Wheaton College for a Master of Biblical Exegesis. The scholarship that he received is called the Billy Graham Scholarship which pretty much covers all of the tuition costs. It requires the student to serve in a foreign country as a missionary for at least four years. This is not a problem for us since it has been our desire to serve the Lord as full-time missionaries in another country for a long time. We are very thankful to the Billy Graham Foundation.
HousingWe met a family who has kindly provided housing for us at a very reasonable price. Housing was our biggest worry, for it is very expensive in the Wheaton area.

Job
Melissa has been able to work as a personal banker at a bank close by. She has enjoyed getting to know her coworkers and her clients. We were also able to get both dental and health insurance through her work. Her job has been very enjoyable and a perfect fit for her personality.

For this and many other blessing we want to give the Lord our God all of the glory. We are learning to trust him even more for we know that he is good and faithful, always providing for all of our needs. He gives to those who asks and opens the door for all who knock.
